The Italian Connection

Luxury real estate veterans Jerry Hooker and Jacob Sudhoff have a message for design-minded Houstonians: Welcome to their CASA. The 10,000-square-foot store and showroom opened in February in the bustling West Avenue shopping center, bringing with ii a cu rared select ion of contemporary Italian furnishings, finishes, cabinetry and more. Hooker and Sudhoff-the duo responsible for designing and marketing the upcoming Giorgetti Houston condominiums-wanted a one-stop shop for architects, developers, designers, homeowners and hoteliers looking for high-end pieces for their projects. To that end, the duo chose several prestigious brands for CASA's debut. There are beds, chairs, sofas and more by Giorgetti, the venerable Italian furniture manufacturer celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, as well as furnishings by Poltrona Frau, Tacchini and Henrytimi. Shoppers can also expect to find handmade lighting by Viabizzuno, hardwood flooring by Listione Giordano, closet systems by Rimadesio and Elam kitchens by Tisettanta. That means CASA offers almost every detail an interior design project needs-all available under one roof. Even better, Hooker says many of CASA's in-house design consultants have been trained in Italy by the artisans themselves. 2800 Kirby Drive, Su. B100, Houston, casa-houston.com
